Construct Review is an independent review site for construction software. This English edition covers project management and estimating software for small contractors, remodelers, and custom builders in the US market. Our original publication is in Japanese and covers the Japanese construction software market.
Who runs this site
Construct Review is run by Ochi, who spent ten years in site management at a Japanese general contractor, working across scheduling, cost control, and day-to-day field coordination, and who led the internal rollout of digital site-management tools there.
That rollout is where this site comes from. Construction software rarely fails because it is missing a feature. It fails because it doesn’t replace anything the crew already does, because the person pushing it has no authority on site, or because the pricing punishes you for adding the people who would actually use it. Most review sites compare feature lists. We try to answer a different question: will your crew still be using this in six months?
The site is co-run with YUKI, who operates our sister publications and handles parts of site operations and partnerships.
What we can and can’t tell you
We are explicit about the limits of our background. We have not run these US platforms on a live jobsite, and we don’t write as though we have. When a review is built from vendor documentation, published pricing, and verified user reviews rather than hands-on use, the review says so near the top.
What we bring instead is a decade of watching field adoption succeed and fail, applied to publicly documented products, and a habit of spelling out the questions a salesperson won’t volunteer.
Editorial policy
- Primary sources first. Pricing and plan details come from vendor pages and are dated. Where third-party directories disagree with the vendor, we say so.
- We say when we haven’t used something. No invented jobsite anecdotes, no pretend testing.
- Every review includes drawbacks. If we can’t find any, we keep looking.
- We update or correct pages when they go stale. Software pricing changes often; tell us if you spot something out of date.
- Revenue and ratings are kept separate. Whether or not a vendor pays us has no bearing on how we rank or describe it.
How we make money
Construct Review is funded by affiliate commissions: if you buy software through some links on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As of September 2026 the English edition has no active affiliate partnership with any product it reviews, and all outbound links are plain links. When that changes, affiliate links will be labeled on the page where they appear, and this page will be updated.
We don’t accept payment for placement, rankings, or positive coverage. Full details are in our privacy and advertising policy.
